1. Business Operations Manager

Reports to: General Manager Deadline: Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025

Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic Business Operations Manager to serve as the right hand to the General Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring all leading clients are well-serviced and engaged. You will be responsible for driving overall business growth in new territories and markets by translating business strategies into pragmatic action plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Execution: Plan, supervise, and manage the effective execution of the business strategy to deliver value to shareholders.

  • Business Development: Scout for new operators and clients in the PPE and Uniforms market. Analyze market potential to guide competitive product positioning and pricing strategies.

  • Client Management: Manage pre- and post-contract issues, ensuring the best quality of execution for top clients through weekly reporting and KPI tracking.

  • Innovation: Monitor the market for new technologies and trends to ensure Cherry remains a thought leader in PPE and Garments.

  • Talent Development: Support the GM in identifying and developing high-potential employees for business growth.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Business Management (or related field) OR significant experience (up to 5 years) at a managerial level in the manufacturing industry.

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in relevant sectors using PPEs (Mining, Construction, Oil & Gas, Trade & Logistics). Experience in a business with a manufacturing plant is an added advantage.

  • Skills: Key Account Management, Auditing, SOPs, ERP Systems, and Statistical Tools (Excel).

  • Attributes: Passion for customer satisfaction, ability to close sales, and quick learning agility.

  • Language: Fluent in English and Kiswahili.

2. Production Manager

Department: Manufacturing / Production Deadline: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025

Job Overview

The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of garment production, from product design refinement to full-scale manufacturing. This role requires strict adherence to quality control standards, optimization of production efficiency, and management of delivery schedules to ensure timely order completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Planning: Create and organize production schedules, assess resource requirements, and draft timescales for jobs.

  • Process Management: Develop strategies to streamline factory operations, aiming to reduce waste in sample making, cutting, sewing, and finishing.

  • Cost Control: Continuously analyze factory overhead costs to ensure efficiency and reduce production cost per unit.

  • Asset Management: Select machinery and schedule routine maintenance to ensure safe usage.

  • People Management: Screen, recruit, train, and motivate factory workers to achieve performance targets.

  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QC teams to establish standards and regularly inspect finished products.

Requirements

  • Education: BSc in Operations Management, Industrial Management, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a production manager in the textile/apparel industry.

  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment, production processes, and inventory optimization.

  • Skills: Strong leadership, proficiency in Excel/Data Analysis, and time management.

3. SHEQ Officer (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality)

Department: Compliance & Safety Deadline: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025

Job Overview

The SHEQ Officer is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the company’s SOPs and safety policies. You will ensure that the company, employees, and contractors comply with legal and statutory requirements (OSHA, NEMC, TBS) and participate in the investigation of all SHEQ-related incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (TBS, OSHA, WCF, Fire, NEMC, GCLA).

  • Audit Management: Supervise audit schedules for ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

  • Risk Management: Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments across all departments.

  • SOP Enforcement: Develop and track the operationalization of all company SOPs.

  • Inspection: Conduct periodic inspections of incoming PPEs and raw materials, ensuring Certificates of Analysis/Conformity are provided.

  • Health & Hygiene: Supervise cleaning, sanitation, and pest control activities. Coordinate OSHA annual medical checkups.

  • Emergency Response: Ensure regular emergency response drills are conducted and recorded.

Requirements

  • Education: Advanced Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or Certificate IV in OHS.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in factory-based production or manufacturing sites performing SHEQ activities.

  • Knowledge: Qualified Risk Management, Auditing, and Incident Investigation. Experience in Garments & PPE safety is an advantage.

  • Skills: Strong reporting skills, knowledge of ISO requirements, and proficiency in ERP systems.
