Program Overview

The HYGIEIA Master is a prestigious 2-year, English-taught program designed to train a new generation of professionals in the strategic areas of health and wellness. This ground-breaking educational project brings together academia, industry, and healthcare providers to focus on risk prevention rather than just treatment.

The curriculum emphasizes non-pharmacological approaches to health, including:

  • Nutrition and Lifestyle Education

  • The thoughtful use of Cosmetics and Food Supplements

  • Digital Health Tools

By adopting a holistic approach, HYGIEIA aims to equip students with the scientific knowledge and competencies needed to address market deficiencies in this high-impact economic sector.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful candidates selected for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship will receive a comprehensive financial package designed to cover all costs associated with the program.

  • Monthly Allowance: A living allowance of €1,400 per month for a maximum of 24 months (Total: €33,600). This is intended to cover travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs.

  • Tuition Fees: Full waiver of all participation and tuition fees.

  • Insurance: Full insurance coverage in line with Erasmus+ requirements.

Note: A total of 16 scholarships will be awarded for this intake.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission and the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Academic Background Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, including but not limited to:

  • Pharmaceutical Sciences / Medical Sciences

  • Nutrition / Sports Science

  • Biochemistry / Chemistry / Biology

  • Other Health and Life Science related areas

Note: Holders of other degrees may be accepted if their professional or scientific curriculum attests to their capacity to complete this cycle of studies.

2. Scholarship Rules

  • Students who have previously obtained an EMJM scholarship are not eligible.

  • Erasmus+ scholarship holders cannot benefit from another EU-funded scholarship scheme simultaneously.

  • Students with double nationality must specify the nationality under which they are submitting their application.

Selection Criteria & Process

Applications will be evaluated by the Selection Committee based on a weighted scoring system. High-ranking candidates will be invited for an interview.

  • Interview (35%): Conducted in English to evaluate academic skills and interpersonal competencies.

  • Curriculum Vitae (30%): Assesses background in Health & Wellness, research experience, and soft skills.

  • Grade of Previous Studies (15%): Evaluation of academic performance in prior degrees.

  • Motivation Letter (10%): Assesses aspirations and commitment to the program.

  • Letters of Recommendation (10%): Insights into the applicant’s character and capabilities.

Required Application Documents

All documents must be submitted in English (or accompanied by a certified translation).

General Admission Documents:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV): Maximum 5 pages (PDF). Must detail professional qualifications and skills.

  2. Motivation Letter: Maximum 750 words. Must address: a) Why you are applying, b) Expectations of the Master’s, c) Future career plans.

  3. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Must be signed and include the referee’s business email and phone number.

  4. Academic Certificates & Transcripts: Official copies with university stamps.

  5. Proof of English Proficiency: Mandatory for non-native speakers (Check the official FAQ for eligible tests).

  6. Copy of Passport/ID: Must include a photograph and personal data.

  7. Residence Certificate: Proof of current place of residence.

  8. Recent Head-shot Photograph.

Additional Documents for Scholarship Applicants: Students applying for the scholarship must also submit a Portfolio containing:

  • Education Overview: Institution, field of study, degree, and graduation project theme.

  • Work Experience: Employers from the past 5 years, job titles, and responsibilities.

  • Skills: Language and digital skills.

  • Top 5 Indicators: Best 5 achievements (projects, workshops, internships) from bachelor studies (max 100 words each).

  • Hobbies & Activities.
